Turnaround time may vary from project to project based on the following;
Amount of footage and length of your footage
Length of final video(s)
Complexity of the build/edit
Extent of requested revisions (during edit rounds)
Current demand
Once you share your materials, I will review and confirm the delivery date, alongside your initial quote. Turnaround times do not begin until all materials are received and the initial deposit has been paid.
Please keep in mind, any additional materials sent after development has begun may affect the Round 1 delivery date, and may need to be altered. Expedited turnaround can be available at additional cost, and is also subject to previous factors.
For Proofs:
Once your video proof is ready, you will receive a review link (through Frame.io). From here you can watch and review your video. You can leave feedback directly within the video player for quick and easy revision notes.
For Final Files:
Once final approval has been submitted and billing has been processed, you will receive a download link for you to save your video files in the agreed upon formats. This will be done through Frame.io.
Full-Production projects begin with a kickoff call where I learn your goals and overall vision for what you're looking for in your ad. From there, a production deck will be shared with you containing concept ideas, a storyboard, script, voiceover talent options (if applicable), music options, prop/set pieces, a production timeline, and links to where your video proofs and final files will be.
All Full-Production projects come with 1 FREE round of pre-production revisions. This is your opportunity to tweak anything in the concept, storyboard, or script before we dive into production.
The Production phase is when your video will be filmed. Projects usually take 2-5 shoot days depending on the complexity of the commercial.
The Post-Production phase is where I will edit your video; adding background music, VO (if applicable), on-screen text, motion graphics, transitions, effects, color grading, and sound effects. I will share a Frame.io link for you to review your video. You will have 3 FREE revision rounds for any edit requests.
*Please note: Any requests to change the storyboard or do any re-shoots does NOT qualify as an edit round and would incur an additional fee. Qualifying edit rounds are any adjustments that can be made in Post-Production as long as it aligns with the original scope of the project.
Once you are satisfied with your video, all final files will be shared with you via a download link once final payment has been processed.
All Full-Production projects will be recorded in a professional studio. I use 4k video cameras, high-end lighting, robotics, lenses, seamless colored backdrops, and set pieces to assure your video has high production value.
How many edit rounds do I get?
For video editing projects, 3 FREE edit rounds are included. For Full-Production projects, there will be an additional 1 FREE revision round during the Pre-Production phase.
How can I submit revisions?
Contained within your proof link is a section where you may submit any notes or feedback. You may also feel free to email a list or document of revisions. Any new materials that need to be added can be submitted via email or through your preferred file transfer site.
Additional edit rounds are available at an additional cost - with pricing varying based on the extensiveness of the requested revisions, current availability, and desired turnaround date. Pricing will be confirmed with you prior to making the additional revisions. Edit rounds are offered on a "per video" basis, where one additional edit round would apply to one video.
What counts as an edit round?
Any changes or additional materials submitted once a proof link has been provided will count as an edit round. Edit rounds apply directly to the video they correspond to, and do not affect the number of edits remaining on other videos. Please keep in mind that an edit round is utilized regardless of the amount of revisions requested. To make the best use of your edit rounds, it is strongly recommended you carefully review your video and provide all revisions in consolidated batches. Once I confirm revisions have begun development, an edit round has been used.
All footage and files provided will only ever be viewed or handled by myself here at The Storyboarder during development.
Upon completion of the project, all raw materials are archived and stored for potential future use during another project, or edit request. I value your privacy, so all raw materials can be deleted from the archives upon request.
While I'd love to add your story to the board, I always make sure to get your permission upfront as part of contract signing before featuring the final video or in-progress screenshots on the site, in case studies, portfolios, demo reels, or in any marketing and promotions.
I'm happy to hold off referencing your project ahead of a campaign or product launch, and can sign an NDA upon request.
For more details, please check out The Storyboarder's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Gather and open each video on your computer's media player, and note the length of each video; located on the play bar. Add them all up to get your total minutes.
A good way to make the most of your budget and edit rounds is to review the footage beforehand; to remove any clips or sections you know you don't want, and to mark down any that you know you would want included in your video.
Video footage can be provided from the cloud storage platform of your preference. The most effective are WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive, but I'm happy to accommodate to what works best for you.
Any music or soundtracks that I source are absolutely copyright and royalty-free. I go through and pull all tracks from the various platforms of copyright and royalty-free music, so you don't have to.
If you have any specific selection of copyright/royalty-free music, or documented permission to use a commercial track for use with your video, I'm happy to accommodate upon verification.
An invoice will be provided to you via email for the initial 50% deposit. An invoice with the remaining balance will be sent via email once final approval of your video has been received.
Any additional edit rounds purchased during development will be included on your final invoice.
You should receive an automated billing confirmation shortly after payment.

I do! Various techniques can be used to improve the quality of the overall video clips, including; stabilization and color correction to name two examples. These elements are included with your edit at no extra cost.
During the initial intake, please mention any corrective services you need. I will let you know what would be feasible based on the footage to set proper expectations. Please keep in mind, while there are ways to enhance footage, what is able to be done greatly depends on the quality of the footage itself.
If you have any questions on whether or not your footage is usable, please feel free to reach out!
